AI Training for
Non-Technical Teams.

For the people who have to use AI, not build it. Finance, HR, operations, marketing, admin, legal, leadership — taught on your own work, by practitioners, until it becomes a habit rather than a demo.

Cocoon's AI training for non-technical teams is built for the people who have to use AI, not build it: finance, HR, operations, marketing, admin, legal, leadership. No coding, no jargon, no prerequisites. Every session runs on your team's own documents and tasks, and everyone leaves with a prompt library, a personal AI stack for their role and a 30-day plan. It runs as a half-day or full-day workshop, or as the four-week AI for All programme, on-site or online.

Eight modules, none of which
assume a technical background.

A half-day covers the first four. A full day covers all eight and adds department tracks. The four-week cohort goes deeper on each.

MODULE 01

The gap was never technical

The people who struggle with AI are rarely the ones who lack a technical background. They are the ones nobody showed what good looks like. We start there.

MODULE 02

What these tools are, in plain words

How large language models produce an answer, why they invent things, and what that means for when you can trust one and when you must check.

MODULE 03

Your first useful hour

Not a demo. Everyone opens a tool and does something from their own job in the first session: a real email, a real document, a real spreadsheet.

MODULE 04

Prompting without the mystique

Role, task, context, format. Six ingredients, practised on your own work until the results stop being a lottery.

MODULE 05

The work your role actually does

Department tracks. Finance practises on management accounts, HR on job descriptions, marketing on campaign briefs. Generic examples do not create adoption.

MODULE 06

Documents, data and decks

Summarise the forty-page report, extract the numbers into a table, draft the reply, rewrite it for a different audience. The everyday tasks, done faster.

MODULE 07

What never gets pasted in

Customer data, contracts, credentials. A usage policy in plain language, and the settings that turn training-data sharing off.

MODULE 08

Making it a habit, not an event

A prompt library the team keeps, a personal AI stack per role, and a 30-day plan. Training that ends on the day is training that does not stick.

Built for the room as it
actually is on the day.

Teams where half the room is sceptical

The most common starting point. Some people have tried ChatGPT once; others are quietly certain it is not for them. Both are normal and both are addressable.

Finance, HR, operations and admin

The functions with the most repetitive document work and the least AI training aimed at them.

Managers who have to judge the output

You do not need to be the power user. You need to know when a draft is wrong, and what to ask for instead.

Whole organisations rolling out licences

You bought Copilot or ChatGPT Team and usage is patchy. The missing step is almost never the tool.

Measured before, measured after.

01

Before the day

Every participant takes the free AI Readiness Score, so we know where the room is before we walk in, and again 30 days later.

02

On the day

Live demonstrations, never slides-only. Three to five hands-on exercises built on documents you send a week ahead, with consent.

03

After the day

A prompt library organised by department, at least one automation running, and a 30-day follow-up session where the benchmark is re-run.

04

If it should scale

Train-the-trainer, so your own champions run the next sessions and the capability stays in the building.

How AI-ready is your team, really?

The free AI Readiness Score is built on what people do, not how they rate themselves. Two minutes, five pillars, a report you keep. It is the same benchmark we run before and after every programme.

Common questions about AI training
for non-technical teams.

It means no coding, no maths and no prior AI experience is assumed or needed. Every tool is used through its normal interface, the way you would use email or a spreadsheet. Participants are finance, HR, operations, marketing, admin, legal and leadership people. Technical staff are welcome and usually move faster through the automation material, but nothing in the core programme requires them.
Start with a benchmark rather than a syllabus: find out what the team actually does today, not what it says it does. Then build department tracks, because a finance workflow and a marketing workflow need different exercises. Run every session on the organisation's own documents. Finish with artefacts people keep — a prompt library, a configured personal stack, one running automation — and a follow-up 30 days later. Cocoon designs and delivers exactly this shape, from a single workshop to an organisation-wide rollout.
Roughly: a short grounding in how the tools work and where they fail; one shared hands-on exercise so everyone has a win early; department tracks for the afternoon; a first automation built end to end; then policy and habits. What matters more than the running order is that participants spend most of the day doing, not watching, and that the exercises use real work rather than invented examples.
Not by attendance or satisfaction scores. Cocoon benchmarks every participant on the AI Readiness Score before the programme and again 30 days after, so the change is measured rather than asserted. Alongside that, count the artefacts: prompts in shared use, automations still running, and the specific tasks that now take less time. Time saved is a proxy, not a return — the useful question is which work the team can now take on that it could not before.
Either. A half-day covers the grounding and three exercises; a full day adds department tracks and a first automation; the four-week AI for All cohort covers nine modules with a capstone in every session. Organisations usually start with a full day for a department, then move a smaller group into the cohort. All three run on-site or online.
In phases, not in one event. A diagnostic to find where capability actually sits, a pilot with one department that produces a measurable outcome, then a rollout where each department's champions are trained before the next begins. Cocoon runs train-the-trainer so the capability stays in-house rather than depending on us. This is the enterprise programme rather than a single workshop.
