Learn AI by building it.
Hands-on AI for curious kids. Train a robot, write a book with AI, spot fakes and build your own game, in twelve fun levels.
Love Scratch? Put AI inside it.
Scratch is where most kids start coding. Cocoon Kids takes them further: Coco turns an idea into real Scratch blocks, kids plug their own trained AI into a Scratch game, and every level has a Scratch mission to try.

Finished all twelve? Harvard is next.
CS50 is Harvard's famous free computer science course, taken by millions. It starts with Week 0, and Week 0 is Scratch, the thing you already know. Our guide walks you through each week with the real Harvard lectures. Best done with a grown-up.
Our CS50 guides are Cocoon's own writing and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Harvard.📖 For parents and teachers
Simple tools. Real progress. Built by Cocoon, the AI training school in Colombo.
A badge for every level and a count of what your child has built, kept on your own device.
See the levels →A locked, kid-safe AI with no ads and no chat storage. Camera and microphone levels run inside the browser, so nothing is uploaded.
How we keep it safe →Every level is one 45-minute session: a hook, 25 minutes of building, then show and tell. No coding needed until Level 9.
Lesson plan →Class keys open every level on every device in the room. Mapped to the AI4K12 Big Ideas and the OECD AI literacy framework.

🗓️ The Saturday Cohort
Learn with a coach and eleven other kids.
Twelve children, one coach, all twelve levels. In person in Colombo, or online. It ends at the Cocoon Kids Fair, where every child shows what they built.
A badge per level, a certificate at Level 12, and a project the child can share. Older children (13+) are pointed to the Sri Lanka AI Olympiad track.
Class keys and a lesson plan per level. Book a call to bring Cocoon Kids to your school.

💬 Questions parents ask
Does my child need to know how to code?
No. Levels 1 to 8 use no code at all. Level 9 (Build Lab Junior) shows code the AI wrote and lets the child change it with an "explain this line" button. Scratch experience helps but is not needed.
Do kids learn image and video generation, ChatGPT-style agents and automation?
Yes. The AI Studio track covers all of them: Picture Studio (image generation), Movie Maker (a story becomes an AI movie), Agent Helper (how agents like ChatGPT plan and use tools), Voice Lab (AI voices and fake-voice safety) and Flow Factory (automation with triggers, IF and FOR EACH). Robot Rules at Level 8 is the first, simpler automation.
Does it work with Scratch?
Yes. The Scratch + AI side quest turns a child's idea into real Scratch blocks, shows them how to plug their own Teachable Machine model into a Scratch game, and gives a Scratch mission for six of the levels.
How is this different from ChatGPT or Gemini?
Those are 13+ chat tools with no lesson inside them. Cocoon Kids is a set of small machines a child takes apart: they train one, watch one count words, catch one making things up, and fix one that learned to be unfair. The chat tool here (Buddy) shows its memory on screen so the child learns what "context" is.
How do you keep it safe?
Every AI reply comes through one door with fixed rules: no violence, romance, drugs, politics or personal questions. If a child asks, it says "that's a grown-up question" and points to you. The image maker refuses real people and anything not classroom-safe. No ads, and nothing typed is used for training.
What do you store?
A parent's contact details, if you join the waitlist or a cohort. For each child: the first name and age they type in, which levels they open and finish, how long they spend, and which Cocoon Kids key they used, so their coach can see progress. We never record what a child types, draws, says or photographs, and the camera and microphone levels run their AI inside the browser.
Can a teacher use it with a whole class?
Yes. A class key opens every level on every device in the room. Book a call and we set one up.
